In music class it is especially important to keep up with your homework. If you are not prepared for class you will not understand the lesson and will fall behind. Because I want you to take your homework seriously, homework must be turned in on its due date for full credit.
Homework that is late will have a late penalty and loose 10 percentage points for every day that it is late. If you have a very serious reason why your homework is not completed in time, you must notify me at least 12 hours in advance. You can do so by emailing me at my school email, contacting me through the Savannah Classical Academy website, or by using the contact form on this blog.
For late homework to be excused from the late penalty, I will need a written note from your parent or guardian explaining why your homework should be excused. Forgetting that we had homework assigned, vacation, or planned family activities are not acceptable excuses. Any excused homework must be made up within 5 class days or I will not accept it at all.
If you are sick and miss an assignment, it is your responsibility to make up the missed work. Please come see me right away so that I can help you stay on track with the homework.
